Does anyone carrot all about eating healthy? It’s kind of a big dill!

Hi guys! I’m making a blog post for my social media project which turned out to be more fun and creative than I thought!

I really, really love eating healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, so guess what? I decided to do my project about motivating others to do the same. Below I will give you some facts as well as my personal story that I hope you enjoy and find useful.

  • By eating at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruits a day, you can reduce your risk of stroke and heart disease by 30%, lose weight, and enhance your immune system so you don’t get sick as often.
  • Good nutrition is the first step to leading a long and healthy lifestyle. Both healthy eating and exercise combined, your diet can help you reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer) and promote your overall health.
  • Vitamins and minerals are essential to the human body, and unfortunately, many of us are lacking many important ones. For example, calcium helps keep your bones strong and vitamins A, C, and E act as antioxidants to protect your cells against toxins. If you don’t have good health, you will in turn have a weak immune system and be prone to all kinds of illnesses.

In all honesty, my life improved as soon as I started cutting out foods I didn’t want in my body anymore. During my freshman year in high school, I cut out milk from my diet. Even though it was hard to get used to, I didn’t give up. As time went by, I got rid of more food that I realized was doing nothing to benefit me. I substituted healthier foods and came out happier and lighter.

Here are a few reasons why it is super important to eat healthy: energy, weight management, mood, and sleep. First of all, I know from experience that eating more nutrient-rich foods boosts energy and helps me feel more awake and refreshed. Leaning toward fast food not only dehydrates me, but it makes me feel stuffed and sleepy. Eating healthy can also help you get on the track to achieving your weight goal. It helps you maintain an ideal body weight.

Lastly, eating right can help get your mood back to where it needs to be. If you eat healthy, chances are you won’t be depressed or suffer from anxiety. Instead, you will feel happy, light, and carefree. Most importantly, all we want is a good night’s sleep that leaves us feeling refreshed. By changing your diet, you will see that you will sleep better, maybe even longer, and feel more refreshed each morning.

I put a lot of effort into the slideshow below, so I hope you guys enjoy!
